Nona Love
Nona Love is a Northern California native and Auburn resident who has also lived in Arizona and Connecticut before returning to her home state. She retired after more than 30 years in healthcare operations and solution consulting, where she helped support and improve large-scale Medicaid management systems serving communities nationwide. Today, she brings that same dedication and organizational spirit to the pickleball courts—just with sneakers and a paddle!
Nona recently discovered pickleball and quickly fell in love with the mix of strategy, movement, and connection. She's especially inspired by how the sport supports healthy aging and proves resilience doesn't have an expiration date. She believes it's never too late to start something new. Through sponsoring twice-weekly games, she hopes to encourage players of all levels to stay active, build confidence and experience the kind of camaraderie that keeps people coming.
When she's not on the court, Nona enjoys walking the scenic trails around Auburn, hosting monthly themed cooking luncheons for friends and tending to her garden

Bob Winstead
Bob grew up in Auburn and has deep roots in the community. He started playing pickleball 5 years ago and immediately fell in love with the fast-paced fun of the game. He began teaching two years ago at the ARFC, where he shares his enthusiasm with players of all levels—bringing clear, patient instruction and a friendly, encouraging style that keeps everyone smiling and improving.
By day, Bob works as a project superintendent for a commercial contractor, applying the same attention to detail and steady approach as he does on the court. When he’s not playing or teaching pickleball, Bob enjoys fly fishing and spending quality time with his wife of 25 years and their two kids.
Whether you’re new to the paddle or sharpening your skills, Bob’s love for the game and easygoing energy make every session enjoyable.
