Jacqueline has been in the fitness industry for more than 20 years. She has certifications with AFAA, NASM and The Pilates Coach. Group Fitness has been a main focus of hers since she was 20. At first she just started taking classes, but before long, she was leading them.
The benefits of taking a Group Fitness class seem obvious, consistency (same time and place every week), socialization (making friends make it fun and increases accountability), variety (you can take different types of classes throughout the week to cross train), you don't have to think-just do (my job is to lead, you only need to follow creating less stress and more fun).
"I believe everyone can be successful no matter what your current fitness level. I teach multilevel classes allowing each person to exercise at his or her own pace. This also allows for progression. You may start as a beginner and then build to intermediate or advanced. I love what I do and it's an integral part of my life. So join me in one of my classes and let's have fun!"
Lisa started personal training in 1988 after completing her Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. She's been involved in physical fitness ever since, is A.C.E. certified, and has been with ARFC as a personal trainer for the last two years.
Lisa's workouts are varied yet very consistent. She will push you to reach your fitness goals in a positive, motivating manner. She believes consistent exercise and a healthy diet are the fountain of youth.
"To get up and move on a daily basis is a cure all for the body and mind. That sense of personal accomplishment, whether you have conquered that 60 second plank or were able to run a mile, helps you to function on a daily basis so much easier, both physically and mentally. And hey, you might even shed a few pounds in the process."
Outside the club Lisa stays busy raising her two sons — her favorite hobby. They keep her busy and motivate her to stick with her exercise regimen. Lisa is also a big sports fan. Her favorite things — check out a Giants game or if she's really lucky, see the Chicago Bears play when they come to town. In addition, Lisa loves cooking, sitting down with a good healthy meal, great conversation, and a nice glass of Cabernet.
Tina's enthusiasm for fitness is contagious. A life long lover of exercise, she has learned first hand that movement is the key to optimal health. After spending 18 years with the court system, Tina left her desk job because it was literally "killing her." Although she was an avid runner, gym member, yogi and mountain biker, the repetitive movements at work became too physically debilitating.
Tina's interest in training started back in the high school weight room and she has always kept that fire burning. She was recently certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and applied the next day at her favorite health club. Tina enjoys hiking with her husband, camping, family trips to the beach, and being involved with her daughter's dance. She is a strong believer in Yoga and believes flexibility is the secret to youth.
"I am so excited to share the knowledge I have gained, not only through ACE, but through life experience. I have helped myself through many injuries and understand what it feels like to be in pain and have limitations. Fitness is for everyone and there is always something we can do, even when we have to start small. Getting stronger is the first step to living pain free, weight loss and feeling your best!"
