Outdoor Sports & Learning

In the era of COVID-19 and the likelihood of distance learning becoming a reality for all or part of the fall 2020 school semester, a number of ARFC members have inquired as to what type of programs would ARFC be able to offer. It is those inquiries that have led to the development of our Outdoor Learning Program. While this program is open to Non-Members, ARFC Club members will have priority as space is limited.

Program Overview

ARFC’s Outdoor Sports & Learning Program is a place where children may participate in their daily distance learning in an outdoor, supervised, socially distanced and hygienically safe space. The program is then paired with physical activity options, such as a multi-sport arts & crafts or instructional training in either tennis or aquatics. The program will begin Monday, August 17. Program hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm. Pre (7am) and post (4–6pm) program hours are also available. Distance learning supervision is conducted 8am–12pm, with lunch scheduled 12pm–1pm. Choice of multiple activities runs from 1pm–4pm.

Registrations will be accepted beginning Monday, August 10. ARFC Club members will have first priority until all spots are taken. Member sign-up deadline is August 13. Non-Members will be accepted on August 14th
